Based in rituals and traditions from the late 60’s, this artwork is inspired by the famous “Baile dos Cinco Candeeiros”. Originally created in Foz do Douro (Porto - Portugal), this dance was the meeting place of love, dance and adventure … Autonomous human lamps, scattered at strategic points, gain characteristics of the spaces they inhabit. Light up, go out, breathe, dance, interact, react … This artistic intervention, goes from a concept of plastic installation, associated with a choreographic composition of the movement of bodies in space, and light as live visual scenario.
